Note

These pads work best and have been tested with sumi, gouache, vermillion ink. However, due to a variety of inks out there, you may experience slight bleeding depending on the ink.

Optional - Place a sheet of translucent paper over each page (Borden & Riley Marker Paper or Canson Pro Layout are good options). That will help preserve the pages so you can use them again too!

Copperplate practice guides

Copperplate Practice Pads

These practice pads have been great. Often I don't have a lot of time to practice my calligraphy and having these practice pads makes it simple and easy to pull it out and get right to my calligraphy without much thought or effort. I often struggle with knowing what to practice so having this laid out with so many pages will offer many practice sessions for the future. The paper is so smooth. It is nice that each page is perforated so you can either leave them in the pad or tear them out as needed. Thanks so much, Younghae, for a lovely way to keep up to date on my Copperplate!

The paper is nice quality, I’ve done most of my practice with pencil, but it’s smooth enough for pointed pen without snagging or jumping. The idea of holding an old school type workbook to go through is so helpful for my consistency, and I have all the pages in one place for reference. These books have really enhanced my skills, and I am eager to practice constantly!
